Delhi COVID-19 Cases Feb 3, 2022: Delhi is expected to report less than 2000 cases today with a COVID-19 positivity rate of less than 4 percent. The number of active coronavirus infections in the national capital has dropped by more than 60% in the previous week, even as DDMA officials are set to meet on Friday to explore further relaxations in Covid-19 limits in light of the improving circumstances.
While the daily case count, coronavirus positivity rate, and several other indicators have exhibited a downward trend in recent days, the number of deaths recorded here due to Covid-19 has not decreased significantly in recent weeks. On January 26, the daily case total was at 7,498 with a positive rate of 10.59%, and 29 deaths were recorded. On that day, there were 38,315 active cases, with a total of 25,710 death cases.

On February 2, the daily case count fell to 3,028 while the positivity rate fell to 4.73 percent and 27 people died. On that day, the number of active cases had dropped to 14,870, while the total number of deaths had reached 25,919. According to official estimates, 210 fatalities have been reported in the last week, while the number of active cases has decreased by roughly 61%.

DDMA Meet On Friday (Feb 4): However, because the general pandemic situation in Delhi has improved, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) is due to meet on Friday to examine further relaxations in COVID-19 limits, including the reopening of schools, in light of the national capital's dropping cases.
