Punjab Police has successfully conducted the Constable written exam on 25 and 26 September 2021. Successively, the answer key is expected to be published in due course of time. The analysis of the exams along with the tentative cut off are shared below.

Punjab Police is about to release the answer key of the Constable exam 2021 on its official site, punjabpolice.gov.in. Along with the provisional key, a manual to raise objections will be released on the recruitment portal of the Constable in District Police and Armed Police Cadres of Punjab Police 2021. Once the answer key is displayed, the candidates who have appeared on September 25-26, 2021 held Constable exam can check the official answer key and raise objections.

Punjab Police conducted the OMR-based exam for the recruitment of Constable against 4358 vacancies in District Police and Armed Police cadres. The written exam was held from September 25 and 26, 2021 in two shifts. The exam was consisting of multiple booklet codes - set A, B, C, & D. The examination was held successfully at the designated centers across the state.

The objective type written test (OMR-based/Offline test) was the same for one set of candidates taking the exam on the same day. However, different sets of candidates were to take a different objective-type test on different dates.

Upon completion of the last session of the OMR Based Written Test, the answer key shall be provided to the candidates on the Recruitment Portal. Candidates will be given 48 hours to raise objections to the answer key. A nominal fee of rupees 50 shall be charged per objection. The fee shall be refunded if the objection is sustained.

Based on the feedback from the students, the Punjab Police Constable exam was consisting of a single paper with a total of 100 marks. The paper 1 exam consisted of 100 multiple choice type questions from topics including General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and Numerical Skills, Mental Ability & Logical Reasoning, Language Skills (English and Punjabi), Digital Literacy, and Awareness. All the questions have to be attempted in a duration of 2 hours. There is no provision of negative marking in the exam.

Punjab Police Answer Key 2021: Steps to Check

Step 1: In order to check the answer key, candidates have to visit punjabpolice.gov.in.

Step 2: Then click on the 'Recruitment' portal from the left-sidebar on the homepage

Step 3: Go to the Constable recruitment portal for related information and click on login from the top-right corner

Step 4: Then enter your Application No./Login Id and Password

Step 5: Click on Constable Tab and click on the Edit/View button

Step 6: The candidate needs to click on the Question Paper and Answer Key tab, to view Question Paper and Answer Key.

The selection process is defined as a two-stage process consisting of Stage 1 and Stage 2. The stage 1 exam is held in computer-based test mode consisting of two multiple choice question papers. For the shortlisted candidates, the stage 2 test will be held in the form of Document Scrutiny/ Verification, Physical Measurement, and Physical Screening Test. Both Physical Measurement and Physical Screening Test shall be qualifying in nature.

Cut off Marks: After normalization is carried out in a scheduled manner, candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Backward class, Economically Weaker Section, and Ex-servicemen categories shall be required to score a minimum of 25% marks and candidates belonging to other categories shall be required to score a minimum of 30% marks, in written test, to be eligible to be considered for the 2nd stage of the selection process. Result Date and Normalization:

As OMR based written test is conducted on different dates, with different sets of questions, for different sets of participants, normalization of scores shall be carried out using the Mean Standard Deviation method using the proposed formula.

A sufficient number of candidates would be shortlisted and called for stage-2, on the basis of merit determined by the marks obtained in the OMR Based Written Test following normalization and after factoring in reservation for various categories. The stage 1 result is expected to be declared by October end.
