Vikram Vedha, starring Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan, managed to have a double-digit opening weekend at the box office despite competing with Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan: I. Reportedly, the Pushkar-Gayatri-directed film made between ₹10-11 crores on its first day.
Despite receiving largely favorable reviews, the movie's opening day receipts were comparable to those of Laal Singh Chaddha (₹11.7 crores), Samrat Prithviraj (₹10.7 crores), and Shamshera (₹10.2 crores) with Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Ranbir Kapoor. In states like Gujarat and Maharashtra, the film did poorly. The figures may have been impacted as a result of Navratri and Dussehra celebrations, according to the reports.
Taking the opening day collections in mind, the movie is expected to earn along a similar line on its first Saturday as well. Vikram Vedha box office collection day 2 numbers have been given here.
Day 1 [1st Friday] | Sept 30 | ₹10.5 Cr |
Day 2 [1st Saturday] | Oct 01 | ₹12 Cr (may earn) |
Total | ₹22.50 Cr |
