Sudipto Sen is an Indian film director and writer who works primarily in Hindi and Bengali cinema. He is best known for his critically acclaimed film "Gulaab Gang" (2014), which starred Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla in the lead roles.
Sen has also directed several other films, including "Nirbaak" (2015), "The Last Poem" (2017), and "Bhobishyoter Bhoot" (2019). He is known for his unique storytelling style and his ability to tackle complex social and political issues in his films.
Prior to his career in film, Sen worked as a journalist and a writer. He has also been involved in theater, directing and writing plays that have been performed in various cities in India.
"The Kerala Story" is an upcoming film directed by Sudipto Sen, produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, and written by Sen and Shah with Suryapal Singh. The film is based on the real-life story of four women from Kerala who were recruited to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
